As a young person, I didn’t like to go out to discos or just hang out with friends. I wanted to stay home, enjoying and observing my grandmother cooking. I was disappointed, if she finished cooking before I arrived home from school.
My first job, after college, was as a flight attendant. That position offered me the opportunity to discover endless restaurants, and to meet many people who are still friends now.
During my living and working experiences in Japan, I learned one important thing, from the Japanese culture regarding the culinary arts: “we eat with our eyes”. My passion for food started to increase. Finding treasures in the countries where I have lived, would make my day.
So, here I will share some of my favorite hidden or little known treasures.
