The reason for this blog, is to share with you how a wonderful chef, planted the seeds within me to love cooking and grow to be a Singing Chef.
Kathleen Kirk was the owner and chef, who made a major impression on me. She and I first met, more than five years ago, during the time I was developing an album in a recording studio, in Lake Arrowhead. Her restaurant no longer exists. But, what I learned from her, will last forever. We connected well, like a beautiful osmosis. In one’s life, these special people connections stand apart.
Many chefs are very secretive about their recipes. However, Kathleen was just the opposite, with a very sharing heart, and sharing recipes. In addition, she was a good business woman, strong leader. Her gourmet French cuisine drew crowds into that restaurant, and her warm personality created a special ambiance, most important when people are dining. A rare treasure, in such a little town.
Here are some photos taken while I was assisting her at busy times there.
